ZHENGZHOU, China — Yutong Bus (SHA: 600066), one of the world’s leading electric bus manufacturers, has introduced Link+, its next-generation Internet of Vehicles (IoV) platform designed to transform fleet operations through artificial intelligence and big data. The platform, unveiled Thursday, represents a major upgrade from Yutong’s earlier Vehicle+ system, offering a secure, intelligent, and integrated solution to improve operational efficiency for global transit operators.
Intelligent Monitoring and Risk Prevention
Link+ enables comprehensive, real-time monitoring across fleets. Operators can track vehicle locations, status, and more than 100 components simultaneously. Intelligent one-minute inspections proactively detect risks, cutting downtime and improving safety standards. The system also integrates geo-fencing tools to manage vehicle speeds in designated zones and remote controls for pre-adjusting cabin temperatures.
Energy Optimization and Cost Savings
One of Link+’s standout features is its ability to reduce energy costs. The platform schedules off-peak charging automatically and identifies patterns of high consumption. In Santiago, Chile, public transport operator VOY SpA, which runs 214 Yutong electric buses, leveraged the platform to cut energy use. By standardizing air conditioning settings across its fleet — 22°C at 50% fan speed — the operator reduced daily consumption by 1,848 kWh, saving roughly 49.31 million Chilean pesos annually during peak cooling seasons.
Efficiency in Maintenance and Repairs
Link+ integrates Yutong’s AI assistant, which instantly diagnoses faults and guides step-by-step repairs. Operators can access a network of 480,000 genuine OEM parts with transparent online ordering and real-time delivery tracking. Maintenance efficiency is further improved with one-click service bookings and direct access to certified engineers. For VOY SpA, vehicle inspection times dropped dramatically — from four to five days to just 10 minutes — after deploying the platform’s real-time map and monitoring tools.
Data Security and Compliance
Yutong emphasized that Link+ is built with strict adherence to data privacy and cybersecurity regulations. The platform has obtained ISO27001 & 27701 certifications, while its Vehicle Cyber Security Management System is EU-certified. Multiple models have also passed R155 VTA certification, underscoring compliance with international standards.
A Step Toward Smarter Mobility
By integrating AI-driven monitoring, predictive maintenance, and energy management, Yutong is positioning Link+ as a cornerstone of smart mobility for operators worldwide. The company said the platform offers sustained value across the fleet lifecycle, creating safer, greener, and more efficient urban transport networks.
